Firefly Music Festival continued with an amazing 3rd day packed with good music, delicious food, all sorts of drinks and two incredible headliners in the same night.
During the day, our favorite shows were held by Middle Kids, Jade Bird, Royal Blood, and Vance Joy. Portugal. the Man performed at the Lawn stage just after The Killers ended their show and before Eminem, so we were only able to enjoy them for a few songs.
The Killers, as always, gave fans a fantastic show with classics like “Mr. Brightside” and “All These Things That I’ve Done” and of course new ones like “The Man”. With ‘Wonderful Wonderful‘ the band have extended their already amazing setlist. They also performed a cover of Tom Petty’s “American Girl” as a tribute.
This was the third time The Killers performed at Firefly. They were actually one of the headliners in the first edition of the festival. This time, they were not the last ones to perform, but they sure ended the show like it was the last one of the night.
Our favorite performer of the day was definitely Eminem. What a show! With a perfect weather and a massive and amazing crowd, Eminem wished Tupac Shakur a happy birthday while he took us on a trip over time with songs like “The Way I Am“, “Stan“, and “The Real Slim Shady”. All performed magnificently. Before the show began, a message appeared on the big screens that read “If you are easily frightened by loud noises or offended by explicit lyrics you shouldn’t be here.“. After a few songs I understood why, as explosions and bullet sounds were heard in the end of some of his songs.
Skylar Grey sang the female vocals in songs like “Stan” and “Love The Way You Lie“. Rapper Royce da 5’9 joined Eminem the entire show. With a show that lasted longer than expected, Eminem offered Delaware fans a night to remember.
