Dorothy, like Blondie and Daughtry before them, is a group, not a person. Dorothy was built around Dorothy Martin, a singer who was born in Budapest but raised in San Diego. As a child, she started singing early and eventually made her way to Los Angeles, where she eased her way into certain rock circles. She began working with guitarist Mark Jackson and producer Ian Scott in 2013, and soon Dorothy formed with Martin, Jackson, bassist Gregg Cash, and drummer Zac Morris.
In the summer of 2014 they released their first single “After Midnight,” and quickly gained atraction on social media, months later they released an homonymus EP witch earned attention from L.A.
Dorothy then began to work on a new full album in late 2015, releasing the singles “Raise Hell,” “Get Up,” and “Missile“. Their debut album ´ROCKISDEAD´ came out in July 2016. In 2018 they followed up their debut with 28 ´Days in the Valley´, which was released on March 9th.
Dorothty will be performing on the hottest summer festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago, Arroyo Seco Weekend in Pasadena, AfterShock Fest in Sacramento and SummerFest in Milwaukee.
