Dalston-based, Danish-born soul man and Wu Tang collaborator Mont Jake has teamed up with video director Billy Boyd Cape (Kwaye – ‘Sweetest Life’), saxophonist Leyland Whitty of Badbadnotgood and rapper Gene Fisher on the infectious “Come Closer”, out today via Island Records.

Transporting you into a day in the life of Mont Jake, the track’s video was an organic collaboration with director Billy Boyd Cape, whom Jake reached out to after discovering his work on Instagram. Finding out they both reside in the creative heart of the east, Dalston, the pair spent Sundays brainstorming around their mutual fascination for specific aesthetics. “Come Closer” visualises Mont Jake’s solitary experience of music production within the “complex yet baron landscapes” in which he longs to engage with.
