It’s always fun to watch Ryan Adams perform. The crowd was eager to listen to songs like “Do You Still Love Me?”, “Cold Roses”, “Let It Ride”, and “Come Pick Me Up”.

The band prepared the crowd on Sunday before the main headliners arrived to Zilker Park. They began playing with the sunlight and their performance ended as the night arrived with songs like “Live in the Moment”, “Feel it Still”, and even a cover of Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger”.

Believe me when I say that I will never miss a show from these guys when they are in town or when they go to a festival that I go too. They’re just too good!

7- Vance Joy

Fans at the Miller Lite stage were anxious to listen to Vance Joy. To be honest, it was one of the most surprising shows we saw at ACL and we really enjoyed it.

6- Royal Blood

One of the best UK bands that have emerged lately. We saw them last summer at Lollapalooza, and they once again delivered a true rock show.

They were playing at their hometown, where it all started. So it was definitely a special show for both the band and the fans. The Miller Lite stage was completely packed with fans that awaited the band to play their best songs.

4- Gorillaz

On one side was Brandon Flowers. At the other, Damon Albarn. Two of the most talented musicians of the world performing at ACL at the same time. Gorillaz has a show full of special guests, and a setlist full of amazing songs. Hymns like “Feel Good Inc.”, “Melancholy Hill”, and “Clint Eastwood” were the crowd’s favorites.

3- The Killers

The band changed their setlist to pay tribute to Tom Petty. They opened their show by performing “American Girl”. This time, “The Man” was played after the encore. The Killers proved again that they can handle any audience magestically.

2- Red Hot Chili Peppers

The legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers came back to ACL after 5 years. Of course we wanted more songs from then. We need more Californication in their setlist. But still, it was a hell of a show.

1- The xx
Our favorite act of this year’s ACL Weekend 1 was definitely The xx. The band delivered a top level performance from beginning to end. They were surprised by the answer of the fans who attended their show, consdiering that they were competing with Jay-Z. But with their last album ‘I See You’, the band is ready and really close to become the next favorite headliners of music festivals.
