An exhibition with work by artist, poet and graffiti painter Jean-Michael Basquiat opened at London’s Barbican centre. As a response to this hypocrite act, two new Banksys emerged in the walls outside the building were the exhibition is held.

Both Banksys were confirmed to be official in his official Instagram account (which is the only official social profile of the unknown artist). “Major new Basquiat show opens at the Barbican – a place that is normally very keen to clean any graffiti from its walls.”

One of the murals shows Basquiat’s usual portrait being “welcomed” by the Metropolitan Police. Banksy considered this as an unofficial collaboration between him and Basquiat. The other mural (shown below), shows a ferris wheel made of crowns also used by Basquiat in his artwork, with people paying tickets for the ride.

The only thing we can say is that the world needs more Banksy.
