The After Shows are one of the best parts of Lollapalooza. The festival may end early, but the parties sure go on until late night. Last night, we had the chance to go to Schuba’s Tavern, a nice pub with a small intimate venue for shows. Artist Luke Henry was the opener who began playing at about 11:00pm. An hour later, the emergency exit door opened and Barns Courtney entered the venue and took the stage to perform songs from his yet-to-be released debut album.
His broken leg (which he got at one of his shows when he jumped into the crowd), didn’t stopped him from running and jumping all over the place during his songs. His first song, “Hobo Rocket“, had fans screaming literally on his face (it was such an intimate venue that you can hear everybody in the room!). The excitement went higher when “Glitter and Gold” began playing with just the drums and Barns’ voice.
The amazing evening ended up with fans’ favorites “Golden Dandelions“, “Kicks“, and “Fire“.
