A day at Monterrey’s Live Out Festival

October 02, 2016 :: 09:00 AM EDT

Live Out Festival took place this past weekend in Monterrey, Mexico. A day that will certainly be remembered by the more than 50,000 fans that attended this major event.

The two big stages installed in the gigantic park were active all day long, one after the other. Kevin Garret, Cleopold, and Black Pistol Fire were the first ones to rock the venue. As the crowd began to grow during the day, the party began to take form with music from Yacht, Slow Magic, and Phases.

A DJ that will potentially be one of the greatest in the world in the upcoming months, Lost Frequencies, took the main stage to play hits like “Are You With Me?” and “Reality“. The first track makes reference to the “Mexican sky”, so you can imagine how fans reacted with this song.

Jake Bugg performed for the first time in Monterrey. Timing couldn’t be better now that the young British artist has released 3 albums. “Lightning Bolt“, “Two Fingers“, and “Messed Up Kids” made the crowd sang along with him.

Chvrches and Foals were also performing in the city for the first time. Both bands were certainly surprised by the enthusiasm showed by the Mexican crowd. We talked to several fans in the crowd and some of them came from other cities just to see Foals perform. Crazy!

The evening was there, and it came twenty one pilots. One of the greatest bands in the world right now. “Heathens“, “Stressed Out“, “Ride“, just a few of the tracks they played to deliver a stunning and out of this world performance. But the night wan’t over yet. Kings of Leon took the main stage to deliver their first show in a long time. Their new songs are awesome, but that didn’t stop them from playing classics like “Sex on Fire” or “Use Somebody”. Man, what a night. They sure will have a tough time trying to curate next year’s edition.
