After years of struggling in a very competitive market with other companies leading the gaming industry, Nintendo has found a strategy that will surely take the company back to the top. This strategy is nostalgia.
Pokémon Go is a worldwide phenomena, and it has only been released in a few countries. People of all ages are playing the game, not only because it brings back memories of their childhood, but also because it’s a major leap on how games interact with the real world. Gamification at its best.
The company will also be releasing the original NES game system into a much smaller edition, with 30 games preloaded, including Super Mario Bros, Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda, and many more.
It will be available on November 11 for $59.99, which seems like a very fair price for everything that involves having in your hands a game system that changed the world 31 years ago.
