There are many reasons why Kasabian should be celebrating right now. The band recently released their fifth studio album ‘48:13‘, and even though their first record was released 10 years ago, Sergio Pizzorno says that things are just getting started for them.

The band recently performed at the iTunes Festival in London’s Roundhouse where they performed their entire first album.

“It was great, it was an historic venue. The most amazing music has been played there, and we just did it too. It is interesting when I realize how far we have gone “.

The band is about to begin a series of tour dates in North America that include New York City, LA, Boston, Chicago, and other US cities. They will also visit Canada and Mexico before going back to Europe for more shows. All this in support of ‘48:13′, which according to Serge is “a more direct album than our previous releases“. The band is excited to tour the US especially after all the work involved in the recording of the album.

Serge also expressed his amazement when we asked him about how the ex-Beatle Ringo Starr recently declared that he was a huge Kasabian fan, “Yeah! It’s amazing…I am humbled“.
