Day 2 of Firefly Festival (which was the first day for us) was incredible. It was our first time in Delaware and we had no idea of what to expect. Firefly had offered one of the strongest lineups of the year and day 2 was as exciting as we were expecting it to be. We began our day at the Main Stage with Kongos delivering a mix of African and rock sounds. After that we decided to take a tour on The Woodlands, an enourmous are that included 7 stages, food areas, an arcade tent, and everything you need to maximize your festival experience.

After a while we chose to watch American Authors and Portugal. the Man. Portugal. the Man always delivers a great performance and this was no exception. American Authors actually performed twice, with one of their performance taking place at The Coffee House (with an acoustic set).

As the sun began to hide, we were getting ready to see Arctic Monkeys at the main stage. Not the first time we see them, but they are always a must. They were the perfect band to set the mood before Foo Fighters arrived. And after 10Pm, that’s what happened. Dave Grohl opened their set with “Times Like These“, “Rope“, “The Pretender“, and “Learn to Fly“. Are you serious Dave? This was just the beginning.

For the first time in many years, the band performed “Big Me”, which according to Dave, they stopped playing it for a long time because every one kept throwing them mentos (because of the music video). This time there were no mentor, only fans singing and jumping of excitement. “All My Life” appeared to be their last song, but it wasn’t. The band returned at The Holy Shits to perform covers from Alice Cooper, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, and Queen. They finally ended their amazing set with our favourite song “Everlong“.

Watch a the official video summary of that happened during day 2 below.
