Wild Cub released a new EP today, ‘Letters Home From Far Away: Covers, Outtakes, & Live Recordings’, exclusively via iTunes. The EP features six tracks: live recordings of Alternative Radio Top 15 track “Thunder Clatter” and “Wishing Well,” both off the band’s debut album Youth and recorded live in New York; covers of Beyonce’sCrazy In Love,” Drake’sHold On We’re Going Home” (recorded live from SiriusXM Alt Nation and previously only heard via the satellite radio station), and CHVRCHES‘ “The Mother We Share;” and a previously unreleased track, “Shadows,” recorded during the same sessions as Youth. The Nashville-based band, who recently performed at the Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, AL and supported Vampire Weekend on two sold-out Austin, TX shows, will head out on an extensive US summer headlining tour later this month. Beginning on June 23rd at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA, the tour continues through August 7th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA and includes already sold-out shows in Austin, TX and Kansas City, MO. First, Wild Cub will perform at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE on June 22nd, which is the first of many summer festival performances, including: Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI; Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati, OH; Mo Pop Festival in Detroit, MI; and Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal, QC. The band is also confirmed to support Broken Bells at a Lollapalooza aftershow at the House of Blues Chicago on July 31st. A current itinerary is below.
